Signs of Storm Damage
After a storm rolls through, even if it seems as though your home has incurred no damage, there may be signs that some less noticeable problems have been created. We here at Built would like to provide you some info on areas you can check yourself to see if damage has occurred. Here are some examples:
- Windows – shattered or cracked glass, damage to panes or framework, and damage in other unsuspecting areas.
- Roof – obvious loose or cracked shingles. Even branches or other debris lodged in shingles or parts of structure.
- Gutter Clogging – strong winds create falling debris and gutters can clog quickly. This can lead to water backup into the home.
- Exterior – high winds and hail can cause paint and stucco to break off. Bricks can also chip, as well as siding becoming loose or falling off.
Summarily, even though it may seem at first glance that your home has incurred no damage after a storm, it may be helpful to take a closer look at your home. Unidentified damage can lead to further problems if not handled. If you suspect your home has damage after a storm, feel free to contact us here at Built and we can help you get your home back in order.
